Jessica is a physiotherapist who specialises in Pilates & Functional Movement. With seventeen years experience in teaching Pilates & movement, she brings much knowledge and expertise to this Northern Beaches Pilates & functional movement studio. With such extensive experience she is comfortable and competent dealing with a broad range of ages and conditions. Jessica is a talented instructor, able to work just as effectively with clients who are completely new to Pilates & movement as she is with elite athletes. As a result of being in the industry for so many years & also because of her commitment to continuing education, Jessica is an instructor who is well respected by her colleagues in the industry.
Jess loves adapting her clients’ functional movement workouts from session to session depending on how they are feeling or what they have going on in their bodies (& their minds!) on that particular day. Whether you want to sweat, mobilise or rehabilitate – she can help you.
Jessica is a Principal member of the Pilates Alliance Australasia meaning she has in excess of 10,000 teaching hours experience. Jessica is also a mentor for Polestar Pilates Education, using her skills and knowledge to help train & inspire new instructors.

Megan Dunphy

Megan is a Physiotherapist specialising in Pilates & Functional Movement. Megan started her career as a Registered Nurse, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, before completing her Master of Physiotherapy Studies at the University of Queensland in 2010.
With a background in downhill ski racing, Megan is very passionate in maintaining an active lifestyle, and keeping fit and strong through hiking, running, kiteboarding, and both mountain and road biking. She was introduced to Pilates and loves the way it compliments her active lifestyle and keeps her balanced.
Since joining the Pilates & Functional Movement team at Pure Form Pilates & Functional Movement, Megan has enjoyed helping others overcome injuries and imbalances. She loves applying her Physio knowledge, and personal experience to help her clients improve their strength, mobility and function. Whether you are recovering from an injury, wanting a hard workout, or just looking to maintain your function- Megan will get you moving.

Katherine King
(Currently on maternity leave)
Physiotherapist, Pilates Instructor, Functional Movement Teacher
Katherine is a practicing physiotherapist, specialising in Pilates & Functional Movement. Arising from a long standing passion for sport, fitness and the great outdoors, Katherine completed a Bachelor of Science (sport and exercise science) in 2004. Following this, she went on to complete a Masters in Physiotherapy at the University of Sydney graduating in 2006.
With a background in dance, personal training, rehabilitation and nutrition, Katherine practices a holistic approach to injury rehabilitation and prevention by focusing on many aspects of health, fitness and natural movement to attain long term health benefits and overall wellbeing. It is this holistic approach to wellbeing that led Katherine to become involved in the practice and instruction of Pilates & Functional Movement.
Katherine continues to work as a physiotherapist alongside her Pilates & Functional Movement instruction, serving the local community through Avalon Physiotherapy Centre. She is comfortable and competent working with a broad range of clients –from those who are injured or who have a history of pain right through to those of elite athlete levels.

Vanessa Lee
Sports Scientist, Pilates Instructor
Vanessa started her journey as a Sports Science graduate from the University of New South Wales. This led her to work with athletes, children’s talent identification programs, corporate fitness, fitness facilities and most recently as a practitioner in Pilates.
Vanessa has a passion for Pilates & loves the way she feels when she does Pilates. She enjoys teaching Pilates & loves seeing the transformation in her clients & the way they move & function. Vanessa has a knack for finding her clients’ weaknesses (while also knowing their limitations) & is able to push her clients to work their hardest in each session. She has fast become a client favourite in our studio!
Vanessa is back home living on Sydney’s Northern Beaches after living abroad for over 13 years and continuing to work in Pilates with a very experienced team at Pure Form Pilates Avalon.
